These three are part of my original story.
I’ve drawn all three a couple of times in the past and will probably draw them more in the near future, as I slowly start work on my script, but before all that, I’ve decided to revamp the wings. Previously, I drew them in a less realistic, more ‘convenient‘ fantasy style in what concerned the arrangement of the feathers. But I felt I could no longer tolerate the inaccurate design.
The story —once I’ll actually have the time to draw it— will be a fantasy manga/comic style, which allows for a lot of artistic interpretation, but I like to be as accurate as my current abilities allow, when it comes to anatomy.
So this image is a representation of the new way I’ll be drawing their wings.
Below you will find the making of progress GIF, and a couple of closes-ups of each of the characters; Lucifer, Michael and Raphael:

My favourite trio of angels from Supernatural: Castiel, Michael and Lucifer.
With the new season of Supernatural started, I just had to draw a quick fanart for it. I am so delighted that Mark Pellegrino has been back since Season 12 in his role as Lucifer, for he truly is the best portrayal of Lucifer, ever! And of course, I am over the moon that Cass is back too. I don’t think I could watch Supernatural any more without Castiel in it. He is just as essential as Sam and Dean are.
I love the new Michael as well in Season 13, as played by Christian Keyes (very badass), but to me Michael will always be Jake Able. I’m still hoping to see Adam!Michael again on the show… Still hoping…
Here’s the usual animated progress GIF for this painting, from start to finish:

This is a small illustration of Cruce and Papa Roach, from Chapter 3, of Feverborn, by Karen Marie Moning.
Sadly with the final year of Uni, plus work, I only have the time for “small illustrations“, rather than the really complex scenes with multiple characters that I so love from the books.

Michael vs. Lucifer, is a two part illustration of a scene from my original story.
Archangel Michael descending.
Archangel Lucifer ascending.
The universe that my Lucifer and Michael are part of, is ruled by five elemental deities; Earth (Bruntos Tæmblor), Fire (Leodan Whiteflæm), Shadow (Rahmvar Darkhæl), Water (Nuhria Mælstrom), and Air (Deyhuan Wholegæl).
The Angel race, also known as Lan’Huan, that Michael and Lucifer are part of, was created by the god of Air, Deyhuan. “Lan’Huan” stands for, Children of Deyhuan.

Michael is the Viceroy of the sky-continent, Naraan (Heaven), whilst Lucifer is the Archon of the deepground realm called Basvaria (Hell).
These two illustrations originally started out as watercolours, but I changed my mind half way through, for I felt the watercolour either required less detail than I originally wanted, or the effect was lost when zooming out.
This is as far as I got with the watercolours before deciding that it will not work for these illustrations:

I have recently purchased a statue of the Archangel Michael by Design Toscano from Amazon UK. The statue is sculpted in bonded natural marble, weighs about 1kgs and stands at 15 inches from base to wing-tip.
To call this statue beautiful would be an injustice. The level of detail, fantastic anatomy, smooth finish, and the general aesthetic give this piece a truly artistic, almost museum quality look.
There are three things in life I am obsessed over: Dragons, Elves and Angels.
Major fantasy geek over here. Thus, I’ve seen a fair share of little statues and figurines of the Archangel Michael and I’m always on the lookout for new ones to add to my collection. But this piece… This piece tops them all!
Just look at those angelic features with the beautifully sculpted locks, somehow managing to be gentle and strong at the same time:

ArtRage is a really fantastic little app for Android, that I use almost constantly. It’s an app geared at people with a Samsung Note Tab or Phone, because it takes great advantage of the pressure sensitivity of the Note pen, but I believe it can be used with fingers as well, easily enough, though I myself have never tried it that way.
Until now, ArtRage is the best app I could find for painting, because it enables the user to use a variety of tools that mimic traditional mediums, like pencils, felt tip pens, watercolours and oil paint —my favourite by far.
When I am waiting between lectures at uni it’s the perfect tool for me to pass the time.
Here are the latest examples of paintings I did using ArtRage on my Galaxy NotePro tablet:
